Teaching is a hard job to do by yourself.
A school is a much better place if there is a spirit of cooperation among teachers rather than competition.
If you keep your focus on the overall goal of helping students, then looking for ways to help other teachers makes sense. When you selfishly try to outdo other teachers, the students pay the price.
Keep your eyes open. See if one of your coworkers might need help with something. This is especially true for new teachers. Teaching can often be overwhelming, especially early on. Don't leave them alone to figure everything out on their own.
So, help your students and help your school by helping your fellow teachers.
Your students will be the ones who benefit.
